Aroma, Mamilla Mall, Jerusalem

During Succot I was fortunate to meet a Facebook friend who I had met through a Dutch genealogy group that I am in. She was here on holiday for the week from Holland and was staying with a friend in Jerusalem.

I did not want to miss the chance to meet her in person so we arranged to meet in the Mamilla Mall as I had come to Jerusalem with my family and to have lunch with my brother and nephew.

We met up with Hanna in the Mall and went to Aroma for a coffee.

Aroma sell to order a wide range of salads, which are delicious and nutritious, sandwiches which are freshly made, drinks and of course their coffee is supurb!

The view from the Mamilla Mall of the Old City is breathtaking so sip your coffee and take in the amazing view, relax and enjoy!

The Milky Way, Netanya

When I go to Netanya my first port of call is The Milky Way on Rehov Herzl. Milky Way means shvil Ha Halav in Hebrew. It is a kosher dairy restaurant with a great assortment of dishes to choose from.

By the time I reach Netanya I am ready for a delicious cappuchino which they serve with a crouisant. Other tasty treats on the menu include large salads which  you can share with a friend, delicious sandwiches and cakes.

It is a lovely place to relax and watch the world go by and of course enjoy that delicious cup of coffee!!

Cafe Cafe Jerusalem

While my mum was visiting it was my nephew's 18th birthday,  he had been studying for his matriculation exams so unfortunately we did not see him that often but we made sure we would meet up for his birthday in between his exams.

His dad, my brother, thought Cafe Cafe in the Center 1 Mall would be a good place to meet up as it was close by to the bus station for mum and I to catch our bus back to my home.

Cafe Cafe is a modern kosher lemahadrin restaurant with a vast menu which includes Israeli breakfast, croissants, sandwiches with cheese ans pesto, selection of huge salads, pizzas, pastas, quiches, gnocchi and bagel toast.

As we met up with my nephew in the middle of the afternoon we decided to choose a couple of cakes to share from a delicious assortment of cakes my sister-in-law and nephew had a cold drink while my brother, mum and I each had a tasty cup of espresso coffee. Cheese cake and coffee, can it get any better?

Lasagna, Dizengoff St. Tel Aviv

I had seen this restaurant advertised and was waiting for the opportunity to try it out, I simply love Italian food and especially enjoy lasagna.

Lasagna is a kosher dairy restarant in the heart of Dizengoff Street offering a variety of dishes including pasta dishes, salads and special sadwiches.

My husband and I decided to go for the lasgna with eggplant. We were told it would take twenty-five minutes as all the food is prepared fresh. It was absolutely delicious and well worth the wait of course the espresso coffee we had after the meal made the meal complete.

Cafe Del Mar, Netanya

One of my favourite places is this kosher mehadrin restaurant which is on the Netanya promenade with a spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea. It is opposite the elevator that goes down to the beach. I thought that it would be a great place to bring my mum who was visiting Israel, so we met my friend and had a lovely afternoon with good food and coffee.

Seating is outside under a large circular wooden frame or along the promenade. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a French cafe in one of the coastal cities in southern France.

It is a full dairy menu, you can have breakfast with a delicious cup of coffee at Cafe Del Mar.The menu offers a good selection of fish and dairy pasta dishes with many salads to choose from. You can finish your meal with a scruptious cake and a coffee, tea or cold drink.

The beautiful atmosphere, satisfying food and delicious coffee with the superb view of the sea....delightful!

Cup 'O' Joe, Petach Tikva

The other day I met my cousin for lunch. I had been babysitting for my grandson who had been sick so I was ready for lunch and of course a cup of coffee.

We met at Cup 'O' Joe (Cafe Joe) in Petach Tikva Mall. This restaurant is one of the chain of Cafe Joe Restaurants throughout Israel.

The restaurant is spacious and has a pleasant atmosphere actually a group of people were celebrating a birthday while we were there.

Menus are available in both Hebrew and English. There is a nice selection to decide from including various selection of sandwiches, salads, wraps, toastim, quiches, soups and other dishes.

We decided to have a sandwich filled with goat cheese and pesta which came with a very nice salad, my cousin had an espresso and I had a latte coffee which was absolutely delicious.

There is no shortage of wonderful desserts to enjoy with your cuppa.
